A little bit of growing up
I woke up at 10 am today, which is relatively early for a bum. I was so ready to get out, watch a movie, and look for that elusive stranger number 1 (I have ambitiously decided to undertake the 100 Strangers photo project). I almost did, too. But then I remembered that my former office commissioned me to do a project, the due date for which is on February 18. Because of that, I had to buckle down...

I have a theory that hipsters only exist on the...
I will work out the kinks of the theory, then explain later, in more detail.

I found my high school blog.
It is hilarious. And embarrassing. Most of the posts are about boys, American Idol, and going out with my friends. Yes, these were the things I once lived for. I was a very shallow girl. I should delete it but I can no longer recall my email or password. And it makes me laugh. I’ll keep the link to myself though. I’d like to keep what little pride I have left.

I love my parents for being very supportive and everything but jeez sometimes I wish they didn’t treat me like a 12 year old all the time.  I really seriously need a job and I need to move out ASAP. Otherwise I will have to keep passing things up and before I know it, life will have passed me by. GAH.

Disgustingly emo confession:
I’m afraid one day I’ll admit defeat and realize that I just wasn’t bright enough.

I wasn’t going to write a 2010 commemoration blog anymore. I thought 2010 was definitely better than the suckfest that was 2009, but that it wasn’t an awesome year. Then I read my cousin Chili’s blog and it sort of got my memory wheel turning. Suddenly, all these great memories replayed one after the other in my head like a pretty soft-focus movie and it struck me with some...

Today's Happy Things
One: Seeing a REAL LIVE Bag Lady hanging out on the sidewalk across ours first thing in the morning when I leave for work. She had a million bags with her, all filled with lord-knows-what (but if I were to venture a guess I’d say more bags). They were hanging around her neck, both her arms, tied around her waist, her hips, her ankles, dangling from her fingers. She also had a black cat which...

Neon and Bizarre
The dream that woke me up on New Year’s Day was really bizarre, but kind of awesome. When I woke up, I noted down what I remembered because I was sure to forget. True enough, I did forget, but then the next night, I dreamt of almost exactly the same thing, so I remembered that I wrote it down after all. I read somewhere that by the time we wake, we’ve already forgotten 90% of our...
